Oreo Freak-Out

1 package Oreo cookies
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
1 jar Hershey's hot fudge sauce
1 1/2 cup peanuts
1 (16 oz) container of Cool Whip

Crumble entire package of Oreos.  Place on bottom of 9"x13" cake pan.  Save some cookies for top.  Soften ice cream so you can spread it over the cookies.  Heat hot fudge sauce and pour over the ice cream.  Sprinkle peanuts over fudge sauce.  Cover with Cool Whip.  Sprinkle a few crumbled cookies on top.  Store in freezer.

I tasted this recipe made by Mary Heeter when visiting Pennsylvania with my mother.  Very yummy!
